This nutrition education program for those with diabetes, family, or caregivers. These 4 classes focuses on Mediterranean cuisine, cooking demo's, food sampling, and discussion with a dietitian.
Dining with Diabetes is a nutrition education program designed for people with diabetes and their family members or caregivers. In this series of four classes, we will have a Mediterranean focus with cooking demonstrations that highlight delicious Mediterranean foods and even dishes specifically from Fayette County Extension Agent Maranda Brooks' professional development trip to Greece this past spring! Maranda is hopeful that the cooking demonstrations will help you learn healthy techniques to use in your own kitchen. The program includes sampling healthy foods and discussion with a dietitian or certified diabetes educator Nancy Hiner of the Lexington Fayette County Health Department.
