Summer Bangers: Learn the Ukulele Workshop
Monday, June 29
2:00pm - 4:00pm
Northside Branch
Digital StudioTeens and adults come explore the world's most approachable instrument with Lexington-based musician, educator, and radio host Mick Jeffries.
In this hands-on, three part workshop (June 29, June 30 & July 1), you’ll go from "never held a uke" to playing your first songs. We’ll cover the absolute essentials: how to hold it, how to tune it, and the "magic chords" that unlock your favorite songs of summer.
The workshop is led by Mick Jeffries, a Lexington-based musician, educator, radio host, and co-founder of KYuke. With his signature blend of humor and expertise, Mick will show you that making music isn't just for "experts"—it’s for everyone.
Details:
Ages: 13+
Skill Level: No musical experience required!
Ukuleles will be available for participants to use during the workshop, but you are also welcome to bring your own if you have one.
