Please join us from 5:30-7 for a reception celebrating the Faulkner Morgan Archive's traveling exhibit Queer, Here, & Everywhere: The Roots of Kentucky's LGBTQ History at the Eastside Branch.
The reception will also include a short history presentation by Josh Porter from the Faulkner Morgan Archive.
The traveling exhibit will be featured at the Eastside Branch from October 1-31, 2025.
Made possible by a 250Lex Cultural Grant, the Queer, Here, & Everywhere exhibit highlights key moments and figures in Lexington's LGBTQ history, from Sweet Evening Breeze's drag performances in the 1920s to the passage of the Fairness Ordinance in 1999. The exhibit celebrates the resilience and contributions of the queer community. By shedding light on these often overlooked narratives, Queer, Here, & Everywhere seeks to foster a greater sense of belonging for LGBTQ individuals in Lexington while also promoting understanding and appreciation among the broader population.
